For those who are using SMART, register now to TWIT2948 because we will be suspending registration for Smart only soon.
This is due to the fact they (Smart) have requested it, maybe they want to make their own? Well for our sake, they do they better make it quick!
So please register now or be left behind! Those who have registered already, they will still be able to use TWIT2948 (i hope). I will try to keep the registration for Smart open for as long as possible (until I get the official notice).
Registration for Globe and Sun users will be kept open.

i wonder what’s wrong with Smart. They are earn commission from it like all other telecoms using such short numbers right? Well maybe they do want to make their own so they can get all the proceeds. tsk tsk. Good thing Globe and Sun are still open and not as selfish as Smart. I never liked Smart anyway.. they always consume my load and charge big time. too greedy.

It was a long and interesting week. Just to give updates on this matter, Twit2948 will be unavailable to Smart users but old users can still use it. While Globe and Sun users can fully use the service.
Finally, I’ll be rolling out new features next week including picture uploading via MMS

Here is an update.
Were running a limited time test phase of MMS image uploading! You can now send MMS with image attachment along with your twit. This will post your updates to Twitter with a tiny url link to the site where the image was uploaded.

Note: This is again not available for Smart users, while we are running this service on test phase you might not receive a confirmation message when posting and it may not work 100% yet so its free!
However I have been experiencing some problem where it does charges so use only at your own risk until we iron out the problem with the Telcos (especially with Smart).

There has been reports of multiple-replies from 2948 for Globe users, this a telco problem related to the upgrade of their infrastructure. For those techie people there it means were one of the first services to fully upgrade to CSP version 3 which offers better tracking of messages(we will know now if you actually received the message or not and when).
To be fair we will update this post as soon as we get the full report on how much users was affected so we can decide if the free twits for only those who were affected or for the entire community.

Update: I temporarily removing the reply message from TWIT2948, to make sure there are no multiple sending but you will still be able to post your twit.
This means posting will be free for the time being.
The logs clearly showed no multiple sends but the load balancing on the telco side might have cause the multiple sending so its safe to say there is no double charging that happened. Still its annoying to receive multiple replies so im putting it on silent reply. Hopefully globe will be able to stabilize the gateways by end of the week.

@Godie hmm looks like the people affected all experienced receiving a lot messages in their twitter account. so far things went fine already. good to know though that it was the telco problem and that it wont charge the affected people double. but still, the experience was not good. hope somthing nice would come up for them
