I’m a YehBA* user and i’m glad that they’ve added twitter to the services they provide through their mobile application. I use YehBA* mainly when i want to chat with my YehBA* friends in the chatroom, or when IM from my phone, or when i want to twit from my phone when i’m on the go. Its easy and fun to use and what i like best about it is that it is cheaper to use than any mobile apps so far. P1 of gprs access would already allow me to send and receive a lot of IM or twitter messages (depending on the length since its by characters per byte). Twitter-speaking, using YehBA* just to send one twitter update costs me less than a peso. Now, isn’t that better?
How to access your twitter account through YehBA*:
1. Login to the YehBA* application in your phone
2. Go to the Services tab, then choose Services>Social Category>Twitter Service
3. Login in using your twitter username and password
4. Once logged in, you will see your latest twit as the current status and you will be able to send a twit(change status), view timeline, view friends, add friend, etc.
How to add Twitter to your YehBA* account: Using Jabber
*This allows you to send and receive twit updates, send direct messages, follow/unfollow twitters, etc in a fast and easy way. Whenever i want to send a twit when i’m on the go, i just open up YehBA* on my phone, find the jabber twitter on my contacts list, type my 140 characters or less twit update, and tada! its posted on the my timeline for less than peso
If i stay logged in, i can receive (if i allowed automatic notifications) automatic friends updates and direct messages and reply to them instantly.
1. In the Twitter website, go to Settings, then Phone and IM, in the IM field, choose Jabber, then input your YehBA* account number plus “@yb.yehba.com”. Example, its 639171111111@yb.yehba.com. You will be given a code that you need to send to Twitter using YehBA*.
2. In the YehBA* application in your phone, go to Options>Add Contact>Add Jabber account, and type Twitter in the nickname field and twitter@twitter.com in the User ID field.
3. Once confirmed, send a message to it with the code provided in the Twitter website to activate your YehBA* account with Twitter.
4. Start twitting! Any message you send to twitter@twitter.com in your YehBA* contact list, will be automatically be added to your Twitter Updates.
Don’t have YehBA* on your phone yet? Here’s how to have one:
What Is YehBA*? It is a mobile application that allows you to access your Instant Messenger accounts like Yahoo and MSN in your phone, send cheap or free local and international sms, chat in YehBA* chatrooms, and use other YehBA* services. It is like mig33 and other mobile IMs but its cheaper to use and its Filipino-made that’s why the services it provides are focused on the needs of Filipinos.
